Production Blog - DONE AT LAST

This project overall was fun, new, and stressful. The filming and the looking for the jersey's were fun. I got to discover new things that I didn't know about basketball. I got to learn the strengths and weaknesses of my actors. Or better known my siblings. As for instance, my sister can't really ball basketball but she tries and that my brother is dangerously competitive. I learned that jersey's are not cheap. So instead of buying the jersey's in store. I bought them on Amazon for half of the price of one jersey. But it was stressful because of how much editing this film required. It was also stressful with going from shop to shop to find a prop. I am very proud of this film. It may not be comparable to a marvel movie. But it is something. The adding in the commentators wasn't a problem. I sectioned everything as in the storyboard. I did make a few changes here and there; with some cuts of scenes. I always knew I had a creative side but this film brought it out more. Overall, I enjoy and I can't thank my actors any more. Thank you.

Research blog: Music Video Conventions

I am doing a one minute music video to the song You've got a friend in me by Randy Newman. As stated in my introduction this is the theme song to the movie Toy Story. The audience that would be most interested in this commercial are people that enjoy Disney movies. Such as family friendly people, children, young adults, adults, the elderly and everyone in between. When I first watched Toy story, I believe it was in the cafeteria of my elementary school and I loved it. There are many productions for instance Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4. And in each production the song You've got a friend in me is played as a ritual. When people automatically hear this song they usually assume on the spot Toy Story. This is a friendly and comforting number because this song is interpreting that having a friend that is there for you is superior. In the words of Jim's Poetry, "Your friend will help you and guide you through life when there are tough times. That you will be friends no matter w...

Genre Research: Drama

In this PowerPoint, I described the genre drama. I provided everything common about drama in this PowerPoint. Such as lighting, angles, movement, mis-en-scene and sound. Mis-en-scene means placing on stage in French. Which provides costumes, lighting, acting, makeup, props, and setting. In this PowerPoint I did not work alone. I had a partner and we did amazing with this assignment. We also added in our favorite elements of drama and our least favorite. There are examples of some good drama films included. The elements of drama are the plot, theme, characters etc. These make a drama film good. If one of these elements are missing, it could ruin the film of being a drama film. Drama is a complex genre and is my favorite. It can contain comedy, horror, thrill, action etc. I believe it will forever be great. I think it is possible to prove that there is some type of drama in every film. It can be as little as a penny to as big as the statue of liberty. Drama is a dynamic that cannot...
