I am doing a one minute music video to the song You've got a friend in me by Randy Newman. As stated in my introduction this is the theme song to the movie Toy Story. The audience that would be most interested in this commercial are people that enjoy Disney movies. Such as family friendly people, children, young adults, adults, the elderly and everyone in between. When I first watched Toy story, I believe it was in the cafeteria of my elementary school and I loved it. There are many productions for instance Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4. And in each production the song You've got a friend in me is played as a ritual. When people automatically hear this song they usually assume on the spot Toy Story.
This is a friendly and comforting number because this song is interpreting that having a friend that is there for you is superior. In the words of Jim's Poetry, "Your friend will help you and guide you through life when there are tough times. That you will be friends no matter what". This song is labeled in the country pop genre. While being in a soundtrack of Jazz. When this song is searched up the set and characters of Toy Story pops up. A most common video is a two minute lyric video with a Toy Story background. When the song is played in each movie, it shows the bond between friends. It can be the friendship of Woody and Andy or Woody and Buzz. Each friendship was described perfectly through this song. I understand why it is a ritual in every Toy Story movie. It provides a level of character development. But it is also a catchy and comforting song that teaches that friendship is key.
