Production Blog - Laying low

I have not stayed quite on schedule. I must admit that I have taken more time than needed to, to finish my storyboard. The storyboard I believe was time consuming. I felt dreaded with every act. All sixty of them. But I must admit that it made me think. Think about the up close and how every should look. The storyboard is the imaging of the shooting scene. Luckily for me I finished my script first before my storyboard. I realized that I had to add or elongate more scenes. But I was okay with it. It gave the storyboard more life. And I hope it does the same with the actual film.

As the weekend approaches I plan on starting to film this project. Get an idea of everything coming together. I've gotten a bit of a look for the characters. I plan on getting the characters their own jersey and they can wear their own set of bottoms. I just hoe everything falls into place. And I start filming. I can't wait.

Research blog: Music Video Conventions

I am doing a one minute music video to the song You've got a friend in me by Randy Newman. As stated in my introduction this is the theme song to the movie Toy Story. The audience that would be most interested in this commercial are people that enjoy Disney movies. Such as family friendly people, children, young adults, adults, the elderly and everyone in between. When I first watched Toy story, I believe it was in the cafeteria of my elementary school and I loved it. There are many productions for instance Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4. And in each production the song You've got a friend in me is played as a ritual. When people automatically hear this song they usually assume on the spot Toy Story. This is a friendly and comforting number because this song is interpreting that having a friend that is there for you is superior. In the words of Jim's Poetry, "Your friend will help you and guide you through life when there are tough times. That you will be friends no matter w...

Genre Research: Drama

In this PowerPoint, I described the genre drama. I provided everything common about drama in this PowerPoint. Such as lighting, angles, movement, mis-en-scene and sound. Mis-en-scene means placing on stage in French. Which provides costumes, lighting, acting, makeup, props, and setting. In this PowerPoint I did not work alone. I had a partner and we did amazing with this assignment. We also added in our favorite elements of drama and our least favorite. There are examples of some good drama films included. The elements of drama are the plot, theme, characters etc. These make a drama film good. If one of these elements are missing, it could ruin the film of being a drama film. Drama is a complex genre and is my favorite. It can contain comedy, horror, thrill, action etc. I believe it will forever be great. I think it is possible to prove that there is some type of drama in every film. It can be as little as a penny to as big as the statue of liberty. Drama is a dynamic that cannot...
