Production Blog - Fonts?

You may be wondering why didn't I start filming first? Why I started with fonts? I choose to do it this way because I felt as if this is a base. Because the font of the title and other titles give the audience a display as to what the film may be about. May give them an introduction of how they will feel at the end of the film. For instance, a movie with delicate, soft and small writing. Seems to be about something emotional or romance. While with big fonts, it presents courage and destruction. Some type of feeling with thrill. I also wanted to check it off the list of what needs to get done. While trying to establish a couple of fonts. I remembered that I wanted to have a font like the font used in the title for 'Mission Impossible'. The Mission Impossible font is great. This font is blocky and I like it. I was messing around with some fonts and I believe that I found a font similar to it called 'Agency FB'. This font will be used in the display of the production name to the names of the actors and actress and the costume designers. While being used on the other titles, it will be seen as smaller than the title of the film. Not a lot of inches but only 0.2 - 0.5 inches smaller. The rest of the fonts, the main title font will be in a bulky white. The bulky white will add power to agreed on was Algerian.

Research blog: Music Video Conventions

I am doing a one minute music video to the song You've got a friend in me by Randy Newman. As stated in my introduction this is the theme song to the movie Toy Story. The audience that would be most interested in this commercial are people that enjoy Disney movies. Such as family friendly people, children, young adults, adults, the elderly and everyone in between. When I first watched Toy story, I believe it was in the cafeteria of my elementary school and I loved it. There are many productions for instance Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4. And in each production the song You've got a friend in me is played as a ritual. When people automatically hear this song they usually assume on the spot Toy Story. This is a friendly and comforting number because this song is interpreting that having a friend that is there for you is superior. In the words of Jim's Poetry, "Your friend will help you and guide you through life when there are tough times. That you will be friends no matter w...

Genre Research: Drama

In this PowerPoint, I described the genre drama. I provided everything common about drama in this PowerPoint. Such as lighting, angles, movement, mis-en-scene and sound. Mis-en-scene means placing on stage in French. Which provides costumes, lighting, acting, makeup, props, and setting. In this PowerPoint I did not work alone. I had a partner and we did amazing with this assignment. We also added in our favorite elements of drama and our least favorite. There are examples of some good drama films included. The elements of drama are the plot, theme, characters etc. These make a drama film good. If one of these elements are missing, it could ruin the film of being a drama film. Drama is a complex genre and is my favorite. It can contain comedy, horror, thrill, action etc. I believe it will forever be great. I think it is possible to prove that there is some type of drama in every film. It can be as little as a penny to as big as the statue of liberty. Drama is a dynamic that cannot...
