Filming Blog - Josepha's crib

On October 28, 2020 I started filming my commercial. That same day I was able to start and finish filming. To my surprise it didn't take as long as I expected. But while filming my commercial I found out that it is extra hard with a one year old. Throughout the filming process my baby brother just wouldn't stay still. I had to bribe him multiple times of Elmo, dogs and taking a walk around the neighborhood. When preparing filming, it was a process. But as the director I set the scenes and directed the actors and camera man the way I felt was right. I provided the camera man angles, shots, and movements that I wanted the viewers to see. As for my actors, I took the opportunity that my baby brother was in needed of a shower. After his shower I made sure I got all the scenes I needed with him in his diaper. He was cooperating really well but was very jumpy. In the picture to the left I am showing a shot from the last scene that was filmed. In this scene the baby, which was my baby brother is supposed to shoot the ball into the basketball net. After the camera man is suppose to move towards the Aveeno bottle and fade out. Also, for my commercial film I've decided that I want to do a voiceover to better my commercial. This is what will be said, "Do you want what's best for your baby. Aveeno baby daily moisturizing lotion can be that. It is made with natural colloidal oatmeal. It is fragrance, paraben and phthalate free. Keeps your baby's skin healthy and soft. It is 100% pediatrician recommended and works well with eczema. Get it now and change your baby's skin for the better."

Research blog: Music Video Conventions

I am doing a one minute music video to the song You've got a friend in me by Randy Newman. As stated in my introduction this is the theme song to the movie Toy Story. The audience that would be most interested in this commercial are people that enjoy Disney movies. Such as family friendly people, children, young adults, adults, the elderly and everyone in between. When I first watched Toy story, I believe it was in the cafeteria of my elementary school and I loved it. There are many productions for instance Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4. And in each production the song You've got a friend in me is played as a ritual. When people automatically hear this song they usually assume on the spot Toy Story. This is a friendly and comforting number because this song is interpreting that having a friend that is there for you is superior. In the words of Jim's Poetry, "Your friend will help you and guide you through life when there are tough times. That you will be friends no matter w...

Genre Research: Drama

In this PowerPoint, I described the genre drama. I provided everything common about drama in this PowerPoint. Such as lighting, angles, movement, mis-en-scene and sound. Mis-en-scene means placing on stage in French. Which provides costumes, lighting, acting, makeup, props, and setting. In this PowerPoint I did not work alone. I had a partner and we did amazing with this assignment. We also added in our favorite elements of drama and our least favorite. There are examples of some good drama films included. The elements of drama are the plot, theme, characters etc. These make a drama film good. If one of these elements are missing, it could ruin the film of being a drama film. Drama is a complex genre and is my favorite. It can contain comedy, horror, thrill, action etc. I believe it will forever be great. I think it is possible to prove that there is some type of drama in every film. It can be as little as a penny to as big as the statue of liberty. Drama is a dynamic that cannot...
